Sausage(ground or minced)

I think I will be trying to update the blog every Wednesday and Friday, so check back on those days for new tasty bites 😀

We hadn’t found any North American style sausage here, and several of our favorite recipes called for a good sausage. So I looked online, took some advice and then made it to suit us. This is what I came up with. In North America they would call this Ground sausage, here they call it Mince Craziness 😉 since this isn’t what they consider sausage.

1 lb/500g fresh ground pork, about 80 % lean

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp  salt

2 tbsp parsley

1 tbsp basil

½  tsp oregano

2 dashes nutmeg

2 cloves garlic, chopped finely or pressed

1 tsp onion powder

2 tsp  paprika

1 tsp fennel seeds

Put in a big bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands. Then it is ready to use in your favorite recipes, and don’t worry I’ll share some recipes later that you can use this in.
